Semnox is an NFC only cashless card system with which Advantage integrates. Below are some frequently asked questions about the integration.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the requirements for using this integration?
- Version 24.1 or later
What Player Card types are supported?
Semnox supports the three Player Card Item Types.
Read more details about the card types below.
Value Player Cards
In Item Maintenance, value player cards have a familiar interface where the Card Info tab lets you configure Points, Bonus Points, Tickets and other options available for value player cards. Semnox cards support decimal places/fractions in the Value To Add column.
Play Privilege Cards
Play Privilege Card item types in Item Maintenance are supported. From the Privileges tab, you can select Categories, which are configured in Semnox, and specify a Play Count, which is the number of times the card can be used in that category.
Time Play Cards
Semnox Time Play Card items allow you to select Time Play Groups, which are groups configured within Semnox, on which the card can be used for either a certain number of Minutes or Hours. These settings are on the Card Info tab in Item Maintenance. Times begin counting down upon first use.
Can I bulk issue these cards?
Yes, but you must scan each card.
Semnox cards have an 8 digit alphanumeric code in the corner. This is the unencrypted card number, which is not assigned sequentially. For this reason, you must scan each card on a list of cards to issue them.
What can I use the cards for?
Why is using Redemption with Semnox not recommended?
The readers are not portable and are NFC only, meaning they can't read barcodes. This makes multi-user configuration difficult as the reader must be attached to the station as a keyboard swipe device.
Can I use a kiosk with Semnox?
Yes, Semnox has compatible self-service kiosks available.
