You can configure Notification Accounts with a phone number in place of an email address with a carrier-dependent @handle after the phone number (i.e. 9191231234@tmomail.net). Each carrier uses a different handle, so make sure you are using the correct one.

If the notification contains anything other than pure text data, it is not compatible with SMS accounts in Notifications. Running a test message on any event that has only cell accounts to be distributed to, will cause the message "Error Sending Test Message: Notify error: no account found" to display if the notification isn't compatible. This is a good way to check compatibility if you are unsure. A full list of Notification Events that are compatible is at the bottom of this page.
Account Setup
Notifications are configured to send to Accounts, groups of accounts (Distribution Lists), or Employees. Accounts contain contact information for people to whom you want to send notifications and, if you want this notification to send to anyone who is not an employee, you must set up their�Account prior to creating your Notification Event.
Employees must have an email address in their Personnel account Contact Info to be available as a recipient for Notifications.� If you want to send a text message to an employee, you will need to enter their phone number and carrier handle into the E-Mail address field of their Contact Info. If you do this, the employee will not be able to receive�Notifications that aren't compatible with text messaging.
- From Manager Console, click Maintenance.
- Double-click Notifications.
- Double-click Accounts.
- Click Add.
- Enter the contact's name.

Enter the recipient's phone number, followed by an @, followed by the carrier-specific handle into the E-mail Address field.
- Select Cell Phone as the Account Type.
- If you want to add this contact to an existing Distribution List, click Add Distribution List.

Select the distribution list you want to add it to.
You must have already created a distribution list to add a contact to it.
- Click OK to save your changes.
- Repeat these steps to add new recipients.
Notification Setup
Notifications are configured to send based on Notification Events, which are occurrences and/or time frames that trigger a notification to be sent.
- From the�Notifications�section of�Manager Console, double-click�Events.
- Click Add Event.
- Click Select next to the Event Type you want to use.
- You can see a Description of what a Notification Event does in the column next to its name
- You can see a Description of what a Notification Event does in the column next to its name
- Enter a Name to clarify what this specific Notification Event will do, such as Cafe Manager Needed.
- Open the Distribution tab.
- Click Add Distribution List, which lets you add recipients for the Notification and doesn't necessarily have to include an entire Distribution List.
- Select the Distribution List radio button if you want to send the notifications to a previously created list of contacts, select Account�if you want to add a single recipient, or select�Employee�to send the notification to an employee.
- Select which Employee, Distribution List, or Account you want to send it to from the Target pull-down list.
- Repeat this process to add additional recipients as necessary.
- If applicable, you can select Only Send to Clocked in Employees to exclude employees who are clocked out from receiving the notification.
- Open the Parameters tab.
- Configure the Parameters available for the Notification Event type you've selected.
- Click OK.
