Create the Inventory Item
- From Manager Console, click Inventory.
- Double-click Item Maintenance.
- Click Add.
- Enter a Description for the item.
- Select Value Player Card as the Type of Item.

Select a Category and Sub-Category for the item.
Description, Category, and Sub-Category are required fields for all item types.

Adjust any other General fields as necessary.
- Open the Detail tab.

In the Retail Price field, enter the cost to purchase this gift card.
You can not sell open value cards online. You can allow customers to add additional value to existing cards online, however, which is explained later.

Confirm Taxable is set to No.
- Open the Card Info tab.

Some settings may vary depending on the Card System you use. If you are using Embed, Sacoa, or Intercard, verify the system is set up and communicating properly before completing these steps.

Enter the value the card is worth in the�Value To Add�field for the Regular Points Value Type (in this example, the card has $10.00 worth of spending power, so we enter 10).
- Enter 100% into the Regular Points Percentage tab.
- The Percentage field is similar to package allocation and determines how much of the money is allocated to each Value Type and must add up to 100%. For this example, the card is for monetary purchases only and you should not enter anything into the other Value Type�fields.
- Open the Web�tab.

- Mark the item as a Will Call Ticket.
- Select the Ticket Format from the pull-down.
- Optionally, enter a�Web Description�if you want the item's name online to be different from its description.
- Select the Web Group to put the item in.
- Enter the Web Path, which can be anything as long as there are no spaces and no special characters.
- Select the box to Allow Request To Ship.
- This will display a prompt when a customer adds this item to the cart giving them the option to have the card shipped or picked up. See our Order Fulfillment page for more information.

- Enter any Details or Cart Details you want to add.
- Details display under the item online.
- Cart Details�display under the item when it is in the shopping cart.

- If you want to add images to your item online, open the Image tab.
Image Tab
- Click the image you want to add, such as Image 1, or Thumbnail.
- Click Get Image.
- Locate and open the image file you want to use.
- Repeat this process for any other images you want to add.
- Click OK to save the gift card into inventory.
The item should populate online not long after saving.
Enable the Use of Gift Cards for Purchases Online
Sign into the webstore as an administrator and select the System Settings option from the small gear pull-down at the top of the page.

- From the System Settings section of the webstore, click Gift Card Settings.
- Select the Enable checkbox to allow purchases to be made with a gift card online.
- Select the Require Pin�checkbox.
- This requires that a customer enter their scratch-off pin from the gift card to use it on the website.� This is recommended as it is more secure for the guest. Card numbers are sequential, but the added layer of the random 4 digit PIN makes it harder to guess card numbers.
- Set the Mode�to Local.
- Input the Password from Manager Console.
- Access this in Manager Console by double-clicking System Settings�int the�Maintenance screen.
- Double-click Web Options.
- Open the Sales�tab.
- Click Generate a to create a Gift Card Password.
- Copy the password to your clipboard.
- Click OK.
- Press to Continue at the prompt reminding you to "Restart Your Core Service For these Changes To Take Affect." If you don't restart the service manually, it will eventually refresh on its own.
- Once you have pasted the password in the webstore, click Save.
Allow Customers to Add Value to Existing Cards Online.
- From the System Settings section of the webstore, click Options.
- Open the Player/Gift Cards tab.
- Select the Add Value Inventory Item, which is the item value added online will report to.
- Select the box for Allow Add To Customer.
- Select Allow Balance Inquiry so customers can check how much money is on their card and, afterwards, add additional value.
- Set the Minimum Add Value Amount, which is the minimum amount of money a customer can add to a card online.
- Select the box to Require Player Card PIN Numbers.
- Click Save.
When customers click the Check Card Balance navigation link, they can enter their card number to check the balance.�� On the page that displays their balance is an option to Add Value, and they can specify the amount of money they want to add before checking out.
