The following are instructions to help you design and order custom play cards. Please review and submit artwork to artwork@centeredgesoftware.com. Template files are available here.
1. Design
Artwork Guidelines
Designs must be submitted with a minimum of two Adobe Illustrator files, including a separate file for the front design and one for the back design. All text/fonts must be expanded to outlines and the back design must have a 6 mm × 25 mm rectangle anywhere on the card as a placeholder for the 10-digit code. Download template files here.
File Format
- Adobe Illustrator (.ai) files only.
- Separate front and back files.
Dimensions
In the example files, the top layer includes the bleed area in red, final card size in green, and safe area in blue, which should be deleted before final submission.
Bleed Area (Extend the background to these dimensions to avoid blank space in the final card) - 3.5" x 2.25"
Safe Area (Keep essential information and main graphics within these dimensions to avoid cutting off vital portions) - 3.25" x 2"
Final Card Size (The approximate framing of the final artwork as a whole) - 3.375" x 2.125"
Code Placement
- Create a 6 mm × 25 mm rectangle for
the 10-digit code - Place anywhere on the back
(lower-right recommended) - Keep rectangle in final file to
guide printing
Fonts
- Convert all fonts to outlines before
submitting to ensure accurate printing.
Template Files
These design files (click the image or link to download) feature a layer that includes the bleed area, final card size, and safe area, which should be used for design guidelines, but deleted before submission. The artwork layer contains artwork with fonts that have already been expanded to outlines to comply with submission requirements.
