Introduction
Membership Metrics is a new feature that offers a quick-reference tool for monitoring the performance and metrics of Membership sales. Containing a summary of the most commonly requested data points related to Memberships, Membership Metrics are accessible directly within Admin Portal as the main page when opening the Memberships tab. This dashboard includes several critical data points that sites can use for quick performance monitoring, such as:
- Active Members and Memberships
- Renewal Payments and Renewal Rates
- Successful and Failed Renewal Payments
- Retention Rates
- Sales Data, including New Sales Counts
The dashboard is filterable by date range, allowing users to view data for a single day (e.g., yesterday’s metrics) or over a range of dates (e.g., 7/1/2024 - 7/7/2024). To ensure optimal performance, the data is limited to the previous 30 days. For more comprehensive data, users can still utilize the existing Memberships Export feature.

Where can I access the Membership Metrics dashboard?
After requesting access from us, log into Admin Portal and open the Memberships tab. From there, you will see the Membership Metrics overview.
What does the metric Renewal Payments include?
This metric represents the processed memberships that successfully renewed for a given day or date range. It excludes new sales created on that day. The dashboard provides a breakdown of successful and failed renewals, with corresponding dollar amounts.
What does the Suspended Memberships category include?
The Suspended Memberships category shows memberships that are currently suspended, typically due to issues like declined payments. This data is displayed for the current day by default, but you can also filter it to view suspended memberships from previous days.
What is the difference between Retention Rate and Renewal Rate?
The Retention Rate is a formula that compares membership renewals against cancellations over the past 30 days, providing a median performance indicator. The Renewal Rate offers a day-to-day view of how many memberships renewed versus how many failed.
Can I export the data from the Membership Metrics dashboard?
There is not a direct export available for the Membership Metrics dashboard, however users can print the dashboard to PDF or paper using the Print button.
Users can also click the numbers of Active Memberships and Suspended Memberships receive an emailed list of those specific memberships. Access to other more comprehensive data is still available through the existing Memberships Export tool in Admin Portal.
Why is the data limited to the previous 30 days?
The 30-day limit is designed to ensure optimal performance of the dashboard by preventing the system from processing large amounts of data, which could slow down the user experience. For data beyond 30 days, please use the Memberships Export feature.
How often is the data on the Membership Metrics dashboard updated?
Sales and cancellation related data are renewed every time the page is refreshed. Renewal data is the only data on the dashboard that is only updated once daily and will not change throughout the day after the initial load.
