Overview
To reduce guest input requirements when making a purchase on a webstore, Apple Pay is now available to Advantage Payments customers. When enabled, users checking out on an Apple device will see the option to use Apple Pay.
If selected, the Apple Pay option will allow the user to select from their stored payment methods in Apple Wallet.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Apple Pay secure?
Yes, Apple Pay is secure. It uses tokenization to protect users' payment information, and transactions are authenticated using Touch ID, Face ID, or a passcode. Card details are not stored on the device or Apple's servers.
Which devices support Apple Pay?
Apple Pay is supported on iPhone 6 and later, iPad Air 2 and later, Mac models with Touch ID, and Apple Watch.
What will guests see when performing a transaction?
Nothing about the purchase process will change for your guests until Apple device users reach the payment page of checkout. At this point, the option to use Apple Pay will display and allow users to make a purchase with their stored information.
Can guests use their Apple Wallet for anything else?
Yes, if enabled, guests will be given the option to save tickets to their Apple Wallet. They will see this option immediately after checkout and they will also have a link in their email confirmation to add any eligible tickets to their Apple Wallet.
Are there any limitations?
Apple Pay cannot store card information for future use without re-authorization from the card owner, so recurring memberships and payment of further charges incurred during an event that has already been paid for via Apple Pay are not supported.
