This document will cover setting up a price schedule for the Theatre module and the different options for handling the price and taxes.
Preparation
Sites should consider whether they want to tax items on the back end, add tax to the ticket price, or have the taxes included in the price. Other things to consider include whether sites want to see the tax on the Sales Tax Report, and whether they want to track data in the standard sales reports by the ticket item name, or use the Theatre sales reports. Read the following sections depending on what you decide.

If you want the individual ticket items sold to track into the Sales Tax Report with the tax either on top of the retail price or as included in the retail price, complete the following steps.
- From theInventory section of Manager Console, double-click Item Maintenance.
- Create a Barcode Ticket item with the appropriate Category and Sub-Category.
- From the Details tab, set the Retail Price and configure the taxes in one of three ways:
- To add taxes on top of the price, which the customer will pay, select Yes in the Taxable field.
If your state does not require the inclusion of sales tax on theater tickets, select No in the Taxable field.
Check your local and state laws before selecting this option.
- To include the tax in the price, which you will pay, select Included in the Taxable field.
Create a ticket for each ticket name and price following the process above.
