When it comes to managing your kitchen operations, you have several options to choose from to manage orders. The first is the Kitchen Printer, which is a basic choice that supports minimal kitchen operations via printed tickets. The Logic Controls KDS is similar to the Kitchen Printer but is display-based and allows for orders transmitted via Self Service Kiosk (SSK).
QSR KDS,offers advanced features, including support for delayed firing, text message upon order completion, and order payment status.
The Truffle KDS option is a versatile option facilitated by our Mobile Food & Beverage partner and it supports many advanced features including receipt and item notes and handles HOLD and EXTRA items with specific prefixes.
It is also possible to configure multiple KDS servers for different kitchen areas, ensuring your kitchen operations run smoothly depending on each location's specific needs. See below for a full chart of the various features of each system.

**In the Truffle KDS, Hold and Extra items are marked with the prefixes "NO" and "XT" respectively, so they are supported however they are not red in color.
***Kitchen Printers and Logic Controls KDS systems will display the Package item itself, but not the items inside the package. This is counter to the Truffle handling and will need to be addressed for sites migrating to Truffle KDS.
****The Truffle KDS will display the items within a package, but never the package item itself.
