Advantage supports using KDS systems to manage ticket-based kitchen orders. A KDS (Kitchen Display System) is a device that shows orders on a screen so employees know what orders need to be filled (e.g., order screens at McDonald's, etc.). Only one monitor can be used with one instance of KDS at a time. You can extend one instance of a KDS to multiple monitors.
How To Set up KDS LS8000
Things to Know
- The LS8000 does not use the Logic Controls software.
- Manager Console is pointed directly to the LS8000 by IP address.
- You can TeamViewer into the LS8000 device by clicking the 3-dot icon in the top-right corner of the Kitchen Go App, and then clicking Remote Support. This will show the user an ID (no password). When you connect to that ID, it will prompt the user on site to accept your connection.
- A KB1700 (Option A) Bump Bar connects to the LS8000 eStation using a RJ11 cable.
- The LS8000 can also be connected to a touch screen monitor so you can use the on-screen bump buttons instead of a bump bar.
- The LS8000 e-Station connects to the network and communicates directly with Advantage by IP Address.
