Hi, Sherry Howell here from CenterEdge Software.
And Today’s CenterEdge Pro Tip comes directly from one of our clients.
Jill Rempert out at Epic Air in South Elgin, IL. uses our Time Clock and Scheduling Module.
She’s devised a trick to help her make scheduling super easy for her and her management staff.
Like many FECs, each shift must be covered by several different positions.
So Jill has labeled each position numerically beginning with the most critical positions.
This way, she and her managers can be sure that they’ve got adequate coverage for key positions quickly and at-a-glance.
For example, they might need the top five positions: an MOD, a Shift Leader, an Opener, Front Desk team members, and Court Monitors.
If they’ve got a schedule that includes all five numbers, they know they’re covered for the day.
Now, for individual team members, names of new staff members who are still in their probationary period are entered into employee profiles in all caps.
And that makes it easier for them to notice when they’ve got a shift that’s heavily weighted with inexperienced team members for example.
They’ll also note any training or cross-training needs in the team member notes so that they can keep on top of ongoing training needs or any kind of shift notes.
So there you have it. We think those are a couple of pretty smart ways to use the software and make it work for you, and it’s today’s Pro Tip.
If you’ve got a Pro Tip for us, we’d love to hear about it, so send those to us at SHowell@CenterEdgeSoftware.com
Have a great day.
